My liberal friend said he’s tired of being insulted. He said, “Liberalism gave you an alienable rights, liberalism gave you free speech and freedom of religion. I said I said, No, the Declaration of Independence gave us inalienable rights, our Constitution gave us freedom of speech. He said, “Well liberalism gave you the US Constitution.”  No, our Founding Fathers gave us the Declaration of independence and our Constitution - including our bill of Rights.  “Well, liberalism gave you the vote.”  No, the US Constitution and its amendments gave each American adult citizen the right to vote. “Well, liberalism gave you civil rights!”  No, the US Constitution gave each and every American the civil rights that are NOT enjoyed by citizens of other countries!
