Episode Transcript

When I was a kid back in the 1950s, America was a better place, and we celebrated Christmas in a much better way. In my childhood autobiography, Surviving Georgie, there’s a story of how we celebrated Christmas, and this story is now in the December issue of American Essence Magazine. When we were truly allowed to celebrate Christmas at school, and we didn’t call it winter solstice or something stupid like that. We called it Christmas, because that’s what it is - the celebration of God coming to Earth as a little baby, growing up to teach us how to live, and then dying for our shins. What a fabulous gift that was. And is for anyone who accepts Him as their Savior. I hope you’ll pick up a copy of American Essence magazine or go to Surviving Georgie.com, and maybe relive your own childhood. Or if you’re too young, read about when Christmas was truly celebrated.
